Proaction Martial Arts has achieved remarkable recognition by being nominated for two coveted SME National Business Awards.
The categories they’ve been nominated for are “Family Business of the Year” and the “Positive Impact Award.” These nominations reflect the outstanding dedication and commitment of the Club, not only as a business but also as a force for good for its members.
The “Family Business of the Year” nomination underscores the company’s commitment to the values that family-run businesses are founded upon – supportive relations, nurturing environment that enables members to thrive, and a shared vision for success. This recognition highlights how Proaction has evolved and expanded from a single club with 20 members to 15 clubs across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and East Midlands with 1,500 members.
The “Positive Impact Award” nomination showcases Proaction’s remarkable efforts to make a meaningful difference to its members through their martial arts programs. Whether it’s promoting fitness, discipline, or personal growth, they’ve left a positive imprint on countless lives.
Founder and Chief Instructor, Mr Tom Nicholson, expressed his gratitude and excitement about the nominations, saying, “It’s a tremendous honour to be nominated for both the Family Business of the Year and Positive Impact awards. Proaction, isn’t just focused on business success; we’re driven by a commitment to nurturing strong family values and making a real difference in the lives of our members.
“These nominations are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and we know first-hand that training helps our members overcome personal challenges. These might be dips in confidence due to bullying at school, family breakdowns or diagnoses with conditions such as ADHD. We hear from parents and carers that their children have gone from being marginalised and bullied to confident, self-assured individuals with a solid sense of purpose.”
The awards ceremony is set to take place at Wembley Arena on Friday 1st December, which promises to be a night of celebration and recognition for exceptional businesses across the country.
Founded in 2002 by former ITF president (International Taekwon Do Federation) and World Champion, Mr Tom Nicholson, it has grown into one of the largest Martial Arts schools in the country.
