The Proaction Awards Evening returned in 2026 with record engagement, powerful inspiration and meaningful community impact.
Hosted by Proaction Martial Arts & Fitness at Franklin’s Gardens, the event brought together students, families, franchise partners and local businesses for an unforgettable night.
The evening celebrated more than trophies. It recognised confidence, discipline, resilience and long-term development.
Inspiring the Next Generation
A highlight of the Proaction Awards Evening was welcoming special guest Luke Chadwick, former Manchester United midfielder.
Luke presented awards and joined a live on-stage interview. He spoke openly about setbacks, mindset and perseverance. As a result, students gained insight into the reality of elite sport and personal growth.
His message was simple but powerful: success comes from resilience, not perfection.
Recognising More Than Technical Excellence
The Proaction Awards Evening honoured students across Taekwondo, Kickboxing and Mighty Monkeys programmes.
However, awards were not limited to performance alone.
Students were recognised for:
- Commitment
- Personal growth
- Leadership
- Respect
- Community contribution
This approach reflects the core values of Proaction Martial Arts & Fitness. The organisation develops confident young people, not just skilled martial artists.
Strong Support from the Northamptonshire Business Community
This year’s Proaction Awards Evening saw the highest-ever raffle participation.
Local businesses generously donated prizes to support fundraising efforts. In particular, headline sponsor Wilson Browne Solicitors played a key role in supporting the event.
Their involvement highlights the strength of collaboration between community organisations and the Northamptonshire business network.
When businesses and youth organisations work together, everyone benefits.
Raising Funds for Local and International Impact
Most importantly, the Proaction Awards Evening raised significant funds for two important charities:
- Service Six, supporting children’s mental health locally
- The Amani School in the Democratic Republic of Congo
These partnerships reflect Proaction’s wider mission. The organisation supports both local families and international education initiatives.
Final fundraising totals will be confirmed shortly. Early indications suggest this is one of the most successful years to date.
Looking Ahead: Expanding Community Impact
During the evening, Directors Tom and Jas Nicholson announced plans to launch the Proaction Charitable Foundation.
This initiative will formalise long-term efforts to widen access to martial arts. It will also support families in need and strengthen regional community impact.
The Proaction Awards Evening is more than a celebration. It is a statement of intent.
